FCT CP warns officers against misconduct, launches crime response unit

The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, CP Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, warned officers against misconduct, abuse of authority, harassment, and extortion of residents. He launched the Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) at the former SARS office in Guzape Junction, Abuja. The unit is structured into five operational sectors across the territory to improve coverage, intelligence gathering, and rapid response. Sanusi emphasized that professionalism, discipline, accountability, and respect for human rights must guide their operations.
