FCT Police Summon Farmers’ and Herders’ Leaders After Violence in Dabiri and Paiko

Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory Police Command summoned farmers’ and herders’ leaders from Dabiri and Paiko, in Gwagwalada Area Council, for a peace meeting after violence threatened the communities. Commissioner Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi met them in Abuja on October 19, 2026, urging dialogue and lawful dispute resolution and warning against incitement or retaliation. He also asked both groups to help identify and hand over those allegedly responsible for the attacks. Police said the situation was under control, normalcy had returned and security measures had been strengthened.
