Fela makes history as first African to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Legendary Nigerian musician Fela Anikulapo-Kuti has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, making him the first African artist to receive this honor. He will be recognized in the early influence category alongside other artists such as Queen Latifah and Celia Cruz. The induction ceremony is set to take place on November 14 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. Earlier this year, Fela also made history as the first African musician to win the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
