Félix Tshisekedi decides to elevate Nkamba to Holy City

President Félix Tshisekedi announced the granting of a special status to the city of Nkamba, which will now be elevated to the rank of 'Holy City'. This decision was made during the commemoration of the National Day dedicated to the struggle of Prophet Simon Kimbangu, celebrated on April 6, 2026. Tshisekedi emphasized the spiritual and cultural significance of Nkamba, often referred to as 'Nkamba Jerusalem', and encouraged patriotism and national unity among Congolese citizens.
