Fernando da Cruz pleads for patience after Kaizer Chiefs' derby defeat

Kaizer Chiefs lost 2-1 to Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates on Saturday, following a 3-0 win over TS Galaxy in Tuesday’s Carling Knockout Cup match. Coach Fernando da Cruz urged patience, saying sustained work, consistency and experience gained over time are needed to turn the team’s fortunes around. He acknowledged that Chiefs are not yet doing everything right, while taking encouragement from their opening performance and calling on the players to keep improving in training and across competitions.
