FG reviews 1978 Nigeria-Saudi air service agreement to secure more Hajj slots

The Federal Government of Nigeria has begun reviewing the 1978 Bilateral Air Services Agreement between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia to help Nigerian airlines secure more slots for transporting pilgrims during Hajj. Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo announced this initiative after a meeting with key stakeholders, including the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission, Ismail Abba Yusuf. A joint technical team has been tasked with reviewing the 1978 agreement and a 2015 Memorandum of Understanding to diplomatically engage with Saudi authorities.
