FG sets up task force over diphtheria outbreak in Katsina, Kano

The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Pate, has activated an emergency task force to contain the diphtheria outbreak among children in Katsina and Kano States. This task force, formed in collaboration with the NCDC and NPHCDA, aims to strengthen surveillance, close immunisation gaps, and ensure timely access to treatment. 500,000 doses of vaccines have been deployed to support immunisation activities in affected communities.
