FG tightens grip on school materials, introduces quality mechanism for textbooks

The Federal Government of Nigeria has introduced a new system for ranking textbooks, known as the National Textbook Ranking System, which will apply to primary and secondary schools. Education Minister Tunji Alausa stated that only top-ranked textbooks will be approved, while those not on the list will no longer be allowed in schools. This reform aims to improve education quality and ensure students have access to reliable educational content.
