FG’s N20.4trn resource figure raises more questions than answers — Dele Oye

Dele Oye, former President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, raised concerns about the Federal Government's economic figures, highlighting a growing gap between the N20.4 trillion in incremental resources and N30.64 trillion in new spending pressures. He noted that borrowing accounted for about 58% of the incremental resources, raising questions about Nigeria's reliance on borrowing despite subsidy removal. Oye also pointed out that the Naira has lost nearly one-third of its value over four years.
