Over 500 cocoa producers, children, customary chiefs, and religious leaders gathered in Ananguié on August 28, 2026, to end child labor in cocoa farming. This campaign, initiated by the National Committee for Monitoring Actions Against Trafficking, Exploitation, and Child Labor (CNS), aims to raise awareness among families about the importance of child protection for the future of the cocoa sector. More than 67% of Ivorian cocoa is exported to the European Union, highlighting the significance of this fight for the competitiveness of Ivorian cocoa in international markets.
