Film of a Violent Scene: Why Ibrahima Ndiaye Attempted Suicide in Police Custody

Ibrahima Ndiaye, arrested on August 27 for cannabis possession, attempted suicide in police custody by hitting his head against a partition. He was stopped by the Grand-Dakar research brigade while riding a bicycle with cannabis in his possession. After expressing despair, he refused medical treatment offered at the Gaspard Kamara health center.
