Film of the Fann Hock drama: Strangled by his uncle, Cheikh Tidiane Ndao finally dies

Cheikh Tidiane Ndao, 32, died after being strangled by his uncle Moustapha Wade, 38, during a family dispute in Fann Hock. The argument erupted around 2 a.m. on June 30, 2026, over a lamp. Wade threw a wooden bench, then tackled Ndao and sat on his neck, fracturing his vertebrae and severing a spinal nerve. Ndao was hospitalized in intensive care at Principal Hospital in Dakar and died on July 12, 2026.
