Fire in Kinshasa: the Congolese capital has fewer than five fire trucks, reveals a municipal authority

In Kinshasa, the delayed response of firefighters during a fire at the EP 4 Saint-Pierre college has angered residents. A municipal authority revealed that the city has fewer than five fire trucks, with none available in the 24 communes. Mayor Bienvenu Mbalibi called for each commune to be equipped with at least one fire truck and for fire extinguishers to be mandated in public places.
