Five ADF Militants Killed by the Army After Incursion in Mambasa

An incursion by ADF rebels in Mambasa caused panic on the night of April 5-6, forcing many residents to flee to the city center. The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) responded quickly, killing five ADF fighters and recovering weapons. However, two civilians were injured and shops were set on fire, while civil society criticized the ongoing ineffectiveness of security forces against ADF atrocities, which have killed nearly 100 people in two weeks.
