Five Israelis wounded in West Bank shooting as two Palestinian gunmen are killed

Five Israelis were wounded in a shooting at Judea Junction on Route 35 near Hebron on Friday, October 23, 2026; two are in critical condition. Israeli troops exchanged fire with the two Palestinian gunmen for more than 20 minutes and killed them at the scene. Active gunfire delayed the evacuation of the wounded, and the Israeli military said the attackers were armed with an M16 assault rifle and a pistol. Israeli forces subsequently closed several Palestinian towns in the area, including Hebron.
