Five PDCI-RDA leaders summoned by the anti-terrorism unit as the Common Front faces turmoil

Five PDCI-RDA leaders have been summoned to appear before the anti-terrorism section of the Abidjan court, following five officials from the PPA-CI. Hearings are scheduled from October 16 to 23, 2026, for Roger M’Bia, Alain Cocauthrey, Georges-Philippe Ezaley, Dia Houphouët and Fian Hervé. The summonses do not specify the allegations, but the government spokesperson referred to incidents in 2025, including an attempted arson attack on a gas facility, SOTRA bus fires and the death of a gendarme. Several of the summoned officials held roles in the Common Front, an alliance between the PPA-CI and PDCI-RDA formed ahead of the presidential election.

Under administration since August 2025, the institutions are expected to account for their performance and address weaknesses identified by the Auditor-General.
