Nearly 240,000 internally displaced persons in Fizi, South Kivu, are facing worsening conditions due to the rainy season, following ongoing clashes between AFC/M23 allied with Twirwaheno and FARDC allied with Wazalendo. Sammy Kalonji Badibanga, the territory administrator, called for urgent aid, noting that many lack shelter, food, and medical supplies, and that pregnant women have nowhere to give birth. He expressed hope that OCHA could assist in providing for these displaced populations. The security situation remains unstable, preventing the resumption of school activities in the area.
