Flights between Iraq’s Najaf and Iran resumed as Tehran protests US curbs

Commercial flights between Najaf in Iraq and Iranian airports resumed on Monday after being temporarily halted due to fears of secondary US sanctions targeting aviation services linked to Tehran. Iraqi Airways is now able to bypass handling service issues caused by international contractors' fears of penalties. Iran has filed a formal complaint with ICAO over US sanctions and has also submitted a case to the International Court of Justice in The Hague regarding attacks on airports, aircraft, and radar systems.
