Flights Resume at Riyadh Airport as Houthis Attack Saudi Arabia

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh partially resumed operations on Sunday after a two-week closure following deadly Houthi attacks. Several domestic and international flights were scheduled, but Flightradar24 showed only a small number of departures, with most flights cancelled; explosions also shook Riyadh after residents received a warning. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree called the airport a military target and warned airlines, staff and travellers against using it, while claiming Saudi Arabia had carried out 56 strikes in Yemen in 24 hours. Visiting Riyadh, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis agreed to keep Greece’s Patriot air-defence system in Saudi Arabia.
