Flood alert: Lagos Govt orders residents in vulnerable areas to relocate

The Lagos State Government has advised residents in flood-prone communities to relocate to safer areas following a seven-day flood alert issued by the Nigerian Hydrological Services Agency. Commissioner for the Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, identified several vulnerable areas, including Eti-Osa and Lagos Island, urging residents to take preventive measures. He also warned that rising water levels in rivers could lead to flooding in these communities.
