Florida: 3-year-old Black boy deemed too good at soccer, barred from league and escorted by police

Nevada, a 3-year-old Black boy, was barred from an i9 Sports soccer league in Winter Park, Florida, and escorted off the field with his family by police. His parents say opposing players’ families complained that the older children could not take the ball from him; he was playing against 5-year-olds and scored about 10 goals in a roughly 30-minute match. The family says he was substituted several times before the league issued a notice barring them from the field. They received a refund for the fall 2026 season registration.
