Flydubai co-pilot ‘assaulted’ captain before landing: Initial Saudi probe

Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry stated that a preliminary investigation into a Flydubai flight this week found that the co-pilot assaulted the captain, resulting in injuries to both. The flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv was diverted to Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Airport in Tabuk after an in-flight altercation. Both pilots were hospitalized and later cleared to leave Saudi Arabia, accompanied by an Emirati security team. This was the first official comment from Saudi authorities regarding the incident.
