Flydubai co-pilot attacked captain with crash axe in ‘terrorist act’: UAE

The UAE prosecutor general stated that a Flydubai co-pilot attempted a terrorist act by attacking the pilot with a crash axe inside the cockpit during a flight earlier this week. The incident occurred on Wednesday during flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv, which was diverted to Saudi Arabia. The aircraft, carrying 174 people, briefly plunged about 17,000 feet before being stabilized by new pilots and making an emergency landing at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Tabuk.
