Torcida, the Hajduk Split supporters’ group, marched before Thursday’s Conference League match against Ajax, chanting antisemitic and pro-Nazi slogans including “Crush the Jews” and “Go Ustaše.” Police opened an investigation and detained suspects; dozens of other fans were arrested for violence, while pyrotechnics interrupted the match for more than ten minutes. President Zoran Milanović, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, the Croatian Football Federation and Israel’s embassy condemned the incident. Hajduk Split won 2-1 and apologized to UEFA and Ajax.
