Football: Senegalese Aliou Cissé appointed coach of Angola

Aliou Cissé has been appointed as the head coach of the Angola national football team, succeeding Patrice Baumelle. He was introduced in Luanda a day after ending his contract with Libya, which he joined in March 2025. Cissé's task is to revitalize a struggling Angolan team ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, a tournament he previously won in 2021 with Senegal.
