Forest Heritage: The Government Redefines Boundaries of 14 Protected Forests and Agroforests

The Ivorian Council of Ministers has approved 14 decrees to redefine the boundaries of five agroforests and nine protected forests, aiming to strengthen the management of the national forest heritage. These measures involve agroforests of Abbot-Blocteux, Divos, Dés, Divo, and Mont-Mogni, as well as forests of Benafoco, Bessot, Comwe 1, Gaga, Koba, Ngada, Guichet, Nito, and Négué. The revision seeks to clearly delineate boundaries to reduce land conflicts and promote sustainable use, balancing environmental protection and biodiversity conservation.
