Since the 1940s, US company 3M has mass-produced PFAS, nearly indestructible chemicals used in products like cookware, cosmetics, and pesticides. Despite their resistance and toxicity, 3M allowed environmental pollution around its facilities while being aware of their harmful effects. These so-called 'forever chemicals' do not biodegrade and cause long-lasting environmental contamination worldwide.
