Former Minister John Nwodo Rejects Appointment to Peter Mbah’s Campaign Council

John Nwodo, former Minister of Information and former President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has rejected his appointment to the advisory council of Governor Peter Mbah’s campaign in Enugu State. In a letter dated October 28, 2026, he cited his commitment to political neutrality and said he belongs to no political party and intends to remain unaffiliated. Nwodo asked for his name to be removed from campaign publications, while assuring Mbah that the decision would not affect their friendship or his willingness to advise politicians across the state.
