Former Minister, Kenya’s First U.S. Ambassador Burudi Nabwera Dies at 99

Burudi Nabwera, former cabinet minister and veteran ambassador, has died at the age of 99. He served as Kenya’s first ambassador to the United States, the country’s first permanent representative to the United Nations, and as Minister of State in the Office of President Daniel Moi. He also made history as the first Member of Parliament for Lugari Constituency after its creation in 1988.
