Jacob 'Buddha' Mathathe has accused Safa of paying honorariums a few days before the September 12 elective congress to secure votes for re-elected president Danny Jordaan, who won a fourth term with 157 votes against challenger Sandile Zungu's 82. Allegations of vote-buying arose as reports indicated that certain regions were barred from voting. Mathathe revealed that each NEC member received R153,000, totaling around R6 million, raising concerns among stakeholders.
