France advises its citizens to temporarily leave Mali

Following violent clashes in several localities, France has advised its citizens in Mali to leave the country promptly via commercial flights. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also discouraged any travel to Mali for French nationals, regardless of the reason. Approximately 4,200 French citizens are registered with the consulate, with over 3,000 estimated to be non-registered, including many dual nationals.
