France: Cyberattack disrupts plasma cold-storage rooms at the French Blood Establishment

A cyberattack overnight on November 1–2, 2026, disrupted the cold-storage rooms at three sites of the French Blood Establishment (EFS). Staff detected the anomalies in time and secured the plasma bags and other blood products, with no losses reported. The EFS strengthened monitoring of its equipment, while France’s CERT-FR had advised disconnecting refrigeration devices from the internet if they no longer receive security updates.
