France: Man in his forties sentenced for death threats against Muslims on Facebook

A criminal court in Nantes sentenced a 45-year-old resident of Legé to six months in prison, suspended, for racist death threats against Muslims posted on Facebook. A report to the PHAROS platform led to his arrest on October 30 and a fast-track trial. The defendant described his account as an outlet, while the prosecutor stressed that his profile was public. The case came after the racist attack in Trappes, in which 26-year-old Pengo Bossio Wangi was killed and seven people were injured.
