French far-right leader Bardella refutes anti-Semitism allegations

Jordan Bardella, leader of France's far-right Rassemblement National, denied allegations of anti-Semitism following a Mediapart report claiming he sent anti-Semitic private messages a decade ago. He called the accusations blatant forgeries and accused the media of orchestrating smear campaigns to destabilize RN's presidential campaign, which recently gained 14 Senate seats. Bardella stated he has always fought against anti-Semitism and met with the Israeli government in 2025. Mediapart reviewed private messages from 2013-2015 in which Bardella allegedly made anti-Semitic remarks, including claims that all banks are owned by Jews.
