From ‘Miracle Girl’ to Purpose: How Esther Longe Turned Survival into a Life of Impact

Esther Longe was the only survivor of the October 29, 2006 ADC Airlines Flight 053 crash to escape without physical injuries; 96 of the 105 people aboard died, including the Sultan of Sokoto. She struggled with panic attacks and survivor’s guilt, then spent a decade pursuing degrees and building a marketing career with organizations including PwC and GTBank. After earning a PhD in Marketing from the University of Bath, she tried to be known for her achievements rather than the crash. Encounters with people who lost loved ones prompted her to reconsider her purpose and embrace a call to ministry.
