Zimbabwe’s agriculture minister announced in May that 67 farms seized during Mugabe’s land redistribution would be returned to their European owners from Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. About 409 white farmers who remained on their farms during Mugabe’s rule will be allowed to buy their land back, and a similar number are now farming again as joint ventures with black Zimbabweans.
