Fuel Importation: Towards Lifting the Suspension of Africa Petroleum After a Payment of 200 Million FCFA

Africa Petroleum S.A. may soon be reinstated in the fuel importation circuit in Cameroon after paying 200 million FCFA in arrears owed to the refinery support fund. The validation platform has recommended that the Minister of Water and Energy lift the suspension imposed on the operator since March 2026. The exact amount owed by Africa Petroleum has not been disclosed, making it difficult to determine whether the payment covers the total or a partial debt to the state.
