Fuel price discount: Tinubu reminds me of Idi Amin of Uganda - Dino Melaye

Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye compared President Bola Tinubu to the Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, accusing him of vote-buying ahead of the 2027 presidential election. He criticized the Nigerian government's announced 30-day fuel price discount, calling it temporary and a tactic to buy votes. Melaye stated that the fuel price reduction is short-lived and the pump price remains at N1,370 per litre despite the proposed N1,350 discount. The government announced the discount through the Minister of Finance, Taiwo Oyedele, but the price at stations has not changed.
