Fuel price hike: Give reasonable wage award to workers, create buffers - NLC to Nigerian govt

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero, urged the Nigerian government to provide reasonable wage awards to workers in response to the fuel price hike to 1,430 naira. Ajaero emphasized that this increase severely impacts the cost of living, worsening poverty and affecting various economic aspects. He also proposed that the government sell sufficient crude oil in naira to local refineries and expand national storage capacity to address energy emergencies.
