Fuel price: NLC demands wage awards, crude for refineries

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has urged the Federal Government to approve wage awards for workers to alleviate the impact of rising petrol prices, which are worsening economic hardships for Nigerians. The NLC also called for the sale of crude oil in naira to local refineries and the expansion of national storage capacity to enhance energy security. Petrol prices are around ₦1,430 per litre in major cities, increasing transportation costs and putting further pressure on household incomes.
