Fuel subsidy removal has repositioned Nigeria’s economy – Oyintiloye

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, described President Bola Tinubu's removal of the fuel subsidy as a strategic economic reform. He emphasized that this decision, although difficult, was necessary to alleviate the country's fiscal burden and redirect resources to critical sectors such as infrastructure and healthcare. Oyintiloye also noted that subsidy expenditures reached about N4.39 trillion in 2022.
