Fuels: Import cost of diesel reaches 975 FCFA/l, up 49% in three months

The import cost of diesel in Cameroon reached 974.93 FCFA per liter in October 2026, up from 653.85 FCFA in July, according to CSPH data. This represents an increase of 321.08 FCFA, or 49.1%, over three months. The retail price remains fixed at 828 FCFA per liter in Douala, with a 146.93 FCFA gap between import cost and final price. The government’s support line also increased by 321.08 FCFA, from 109.22 FCFA to 430.30 FCFA per liter.
