The Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation accused Bola Tinubu’s administration of worsening poverty, public debt and insecurity in Nigeria. In a statement by strategic communications director Richard Nnanna Ihediwa, it cited a World Bank estimate that about 140 million Nigerians live in poverty, public debt of roughly N166.7 trillion and plans to seek another $1.5 billion in World Bank financing. The organisation argued that borrowing has not improved people’s lives and urged voters to back Seyi Makinde’s RESET NIGERIA agenda in the 2027 presidential election.
