Ivory Coast is facing increasingly destructive torrential rains, which have resulted in 59 deaths since the start of the rainy season, including about twenty in Attécoubé. The government has strengthened support for affected populations and is working on developing drainage infrastructure. Two sites have been identified to relocate 12,000 affordable housing units, aiming to accommodate around 60,000 people. Dignity and relief kits have also been distributed to women and girls affected by the floods.
