Gabon: 600 individuals and companies ordered to repay 1.7 trillion FCFA

In Gabon, approximately 600 individuals and entities are required to repay nearly 1.7 trillion FCFA to the state, corresponding to debts and fines accumulated over several years. Debtors, including public accountants and ministers, have until October 7, 2026, to regularize their situation before possible referral to criminal justice. This amount includes debt decisions dating back several years, some as far as twenty years.
