Gambia: Phone numbers change from 7 to 9 digits for subscribers

Gambia has officially adopted a new phone numbering system, changing from 7 to 9 digits to accommodate the growing number of subscribers. This reform, which will last until November 30, 2026, will significantly increase the number of available combinations from 10 million to nearly one billion. Old numbers will no longer be valid, and operators are required to assist subscribers during this transition.
