Senegal is seeking €530 million, or nearly CFAF 348 billion, to finance three new sections of its national gas pipeline network. Presented to investors by Pape Momar Lô, director general of the Senegal Gas Network, the Green, Blue and Orange sections will span 255 kilometres and supply power plants and industrial sites. Construction could begin in 2027, with operations targeted for 2029; a further €25 million is earmarked to compensate people affected by the works. The projects form part of a broader plan for five pipeline sections covering nearly 400 kilometres.
