Gatanga MP Says Gachagua, Kalonzo, Sifuna and Matiang’i Working on Coalition Agreement

Gatanga MP Edward Muriu, an ally of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, announced that opposition leaders are working towards a formal coalition agreement ahead of the 2027 general election. Muriu is tasked with drafting a coalition framework involving Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Edwin Sifuna, and Fred Matiang’i, to serve as a prerequisite agreement for the leaders to sign. He emphasized that this effort aims to unify various political groups under a single arrangement before the elections, and that delays in formalizing the coalition do not indicate disunity among opposition parties.
