Gateway for Russians in Mali and the AES: Sadio Camara eliminated before the Africa Corps

Army Corps General Sadio Camara, Mali's Minister of State for Defense, was killed on April 25, 2026, during coordinated attacks by JNIM and FLA. His home in Kati was targeted by a suicide truck, destroying much of the residence. Born in 1979, Camara was a key figure in the military and diplomatic rapprochement between Mali and Russia, playing an important role during the August 2020 coup.
