Gaz du Cameroun (GDC), operator of the Logbaba gas field in Douala, reduced its share capital by 57.03 billion FCFA, or 86.4%, just over a year after coming under the control of Cameroon Holdings Limited (CHL). The decision, made on August 25, 2026, lowered the capital from 66.007 billion to 8.978 billion FCFA, without specifying whether it was to absorb losses or for other accounting reasons. This restructuring follows an acquisition involving receivables of nearly 68.5 billion FCFA.
